9th Annual Diamond & Pearl Ball Raises $1 million-Plus for Cancer Patients
More than 440 guests gathered to celebrate the life of late actress Farrah Fawcett (who faced cancer) at the Beckstrand Cancer Foundation’s 9th Annual Diamond & Pearl Ball on Oct. 13, themed An Evening in Russia. Upon entering the Hangar in the Orange County Fairgrounds, guests were transported to Moscow via a red ballroom filled with the sights and sounds of authentic Russian folk song and dance—and Russian vodka girls descending from the ceiling to pour Russian Standard vodka for guests. In addition to recognizing Farrah and Farrah Fawcett Foundation President Alana Stewart, the event raised more than $1 million for Beckstrand. —K.P.
