International Princess Project Raises Funds to Help End Human Trafficking
More than 200 guests attended the 5th Annual Fabric of Freedom Gala, hosted by the International Princess Project (IPP) at the Fairmont Hotel in Newport Beach, Oct. 6. The evening’s proceeds went to support IPP’s work helping women formerly enslaved in prostitution. Master of Ceremonies Sally Cook of Dreamworks Animations, and keynote speaker John Richmond, former director of International Justice Mission in India, spoke about human trafficking. In his speech, John revealed, “There are more slaves today than were trafficked during all 400 years of the transatlantic slave trade.” The night’s festivities included henna tattooing, silent and live auctions, and a musical performance by AJ DeGrasse. —F.N.
