Pacific Symphony’s Opening Night Celebration Raises $180,000 for Programs

On Sept. 20, more than 250 guests attended Festa di Firenze, the opening night celebration for the Pacific Symphony. The evening began at the Westin South Coast Plaza, where guests enjoyed cocktails, dinner and live music. Attendees then walked to the Renee & Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall for a symphony performance, including pianist Andre Watts. Gelato, Champagne and dancing followed at the Terrace Pavilion of the Westin South Coast Plaza. The event kicked off the 2012-13 Hal and Jeanette Segerstrom Family Foundation Classical series, and with presenting sponsor South Coast Plaza and retail partner Tourbillon and Omega, netted approximately $180,000 for the symphony’s programs. —M.M.
