Working Wardrobes hosts inaugural smart women breakfast
Working Wardrobes filled the room at the Center Club in Costa Mesa, where more than 80 women gathered in support of the nonprofit’s mission to help men and women get back to work. The Feb. 16 event served as a kick-off to the organization’s Smart Women collaborative, raising $11,000 from new member contributions to fund its professional wardrobe services and career readiness workshops.
Guests enjoyed breakfast and coffee while seated at tables named after notable designers, a nod to the upcoming Fashion for Breakfast series, which was announced at the event. Marcia Lynn Zigler, a celebrity costume designer and wardrobe stylist, was on hand to answer guests’ burning style questions. Working Wardrobes founder and CEO Jerri Rosen shared a recent client success story as an example of the impact Smart Women can help make in the community.
“As there’s strength in numbers, Smart Women brings together strong, powerful women dedicated to helping us transform the lives of our clients,” Jerri says. “I’m going to tell you what Smart Women do … they surround themselves with other smart women. We let the men sleep in this morning.” —Allison Hata
